From Younger to Older

Have you ever realized as we grow up how things change? How more reponsiblities fall on you and how opportunity cost increase? How we are more capable of becoming distracted with things that are more important then others? well as i am growing up i can see many examples of each of these three questions. As the years go on, i see many different things happening, changing, and many things that my parents used to tell me that i never saw possible. As i started driving around a year ago, one can tell that responsibilities increase drastically! One day driving to school, i was running a little late, and on the highway i was driving at about seventy miles per hour. Now the opportunity cost in that could be recieving the ticket and possibly getting my license suspended wit points added on, also an increase to insurance, and also increased danger to me and people around me. On the other side, if i didn't speed, i would get to school a little late and deal with the teacher and explain why i was late. The opportunity cost is drastically different from when i was smaller because i didnt have to worry about tickets, increased danger hazards, and all the different possible things that can happen as a driver of a car. We had bicycles and skateboards when we younger, and the opportunity cost then was wearing a helmet and bieng safe, or not wearing the helmet and possibly getting hurt. Also Becoming distracted is much more easier as a driver, and a simple example of this is how we think how we have a car and can go anywhere, anytime, and possibly not keep track of time. The peer pressure on doing things when driving is amazingly higher, just because we might wana act "cool," but when we were younger we had our parents take us places, and didnt have to worry about the peer pressure of just getting up and going somewhere. One way that i saw this was when i was with my friends and they wanted to goto the movies, but i had a paper do in school the next day. Instead we went to the movies i didnt have enough time to do my paper to my full potiential, instead i rushed it. If i was still younger i wouldn't have to worry about this because the peer pressure would not be as great to just get up n go. Instead i would have to go ask someone to drive us there. All in all as we grow up we see how the things our parents used to warn us about, how we never thought they could happen back then. Now we can see how easy they can happen and how we are left with many more choices and decisions we have to make as we grow up.
